Our noted speaker will be Fred Oberkircher, FIESNA, Educational IALD, IDA, LC. Mr. Oberkircher’s accomplishments include: President of IES (2009-2010), Emeritus Associate Professor at Texas Christian University, & Philips DayBrite Ambassador for Lighting Education.
The presentation will be:
Living Buildings: Moving Beyond Words to Actions
- Review the concept of living buildings
- Review EUI as a viable alternative
- Discuss current built examples of design-based energy efficient buildings
- Present a potential Net Zero certification program

In the spirit of collaboration, the US Green Building Council Mississippi Chapter and the Lazio Chapter of the the Green Building Council Italia have joined forces. They signed a memorandum of understanding in 2010, making them “Sister Chapters”.

In working to unite the State’s three branches, the North Branch would like to recognize this year’s Board.
